Before leaving for the Land Down Under.....we took the grand tour of the City of Angels. In the morning we toured downtown Los Angeles....and the only thing it has worth bragging about is the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Seriously, if you don't find this building amazing....just skip the downtown portion of your next L.A. city tour! This is it!
After lunch at Mel's Diner (famous in the 1973 movie American Graffiti), we toured Hollywood. We cruised the streets of Hollywood, Sunset, Melrose, and Rodeo. We didn't actually "cruise" because the traffic out here is horrific! It's almost impossible to get from point A to point B without swearing under your breath (or out loud!). But we did see it all!
In the evening, we topped off our long day with a tour of mansions of the rich and famous! We took the twisty roads of Mulholland Drive up into the hills of Hollywood to catch a glimpse of some of the mega-mansions of the stars. The view of the city was awesome! We passed the houses (er, estates) of Madonna, Jodie Foster, Jack Nicholson, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, and Tom Cruise. Most of the properties were surrounded by walls, gates, and lush landscaping.....making it hard to get a good picture. The best we could do was the residence of Keanu Reeves...which sat on the hilltop overlooking Sunset Strip.
After three long days in Los Angeles.....we're ready for our 15.5 hour flight to Australia! Jenesa and I both agree that Hollywood is once and done. Been there done that....and we won't be back! Hope all is well back home! We'll attempt to update the blog the first chance we get in the Outback!

I agree with once you have been Hollywood, dont go back! I hope you have a safe flight and it goes by quick with no crying babies ! I can not wait to read all about the Outback! I know I told yall this before, but you take the BEST pictures! Dont fall down any steps and break your camera now, or fly through the bus window! Have fun and do like the Aussies do!
