Do you have the urge to come to Australia? I have some advice for you. Go find a chair at 11:30pm.....sit in it for the next 15.5 hours......turn off all the lights......and try not to go crazy! That was our experience on the Qantas flight from LAX to Melbourne. Phew!
Somehow we survived the flight and still had enough energy to tour the city of Melbourne on foot today. We visited the city market, walked through the Crown Casino (biggest casino in the southern hemisphere!), made a stop at the Melbourne Harley Davidson (30% off everything in the store!), and strolled along the Yarra River (which is directly opposite our hotel).
We are utterly exhausted now.....and looking forward to sleeping in one of the smallest hotel rooms you've ever seen (unless, of course, you've stayed in Paris).
