The roads in New Zealand are full of twists and turns....leading us around all the snow-capped mountains and lakes. If it wasn't for the freezing temperatures and rain.....we would love to rent a motorcycle for a day! Our group was scheduled to go to Milford Sound today, but two hours into the ride....we had to turn around and come back to Queenstown. There's a huge snowstorm going through Milford Sound and the road has been closed. Bummer!

Last night we took the gondola up the mountain to have dinner in the Skylodge. Unfortunately, all of the New Zealand kids are on holiday break this week and we think they all showed up at the Lodge for dinner. Lucky us!
Tonight there will be no kids...because we're going on the Kiwi Crawl (
www.kiwicrawl.co.nz)! We were told we have to hit the coolest place in town....Minus 5! The entire place is crafted purely of ice. Everything from the walls and furniture to the bar and intricately hand carved statues are made from crystal clear ice....even the glass that you enjoy one of their infamous cocktails from is made of ice. Love all the posts and pictures! Sounds like you guys are having an amazing time! Mike and I have been talking about how we don't know how you guys pack for being away so long -- we had a hard enough time packing for a week for our honeymoon!
