It's Kenny from South Park (the one on the left)! Today we set off for the Franz Josef glacier. Not only was it zero degrees Celcius....it was raining! It took 1.5 hours to walk the round-trip journey to the base of the glacier. And Jenesa was prepared!
We actually walked through a rain forest...to get to the glacier. Let me repeat that....we walked through a rain forest to get to a glacier. As we trekked down to the glacier riverbed....waterfalls surrounded us on both sides of the mountain. It felt like a scene right out of Jurassic Park.
We were hoping to climb on the ice (it was blue!)....but we were stopped at a holding area 200 yards from the glacier. Unfortunately, some tourist was killed standing under the ice and they now have the area roped off. You can only go on the ice with a paid tour guide.
This looks way to cold for me!!
