One Step At A Time...

We did it!  Eat your heart out, Oprah!  We weren't about to leave Sydney without doing the bridge climb.  450 feet above the harbor.....no problem!  It was an assembly-line process getting dressed and prepped for the climb....but definitely worth it!  I think we both signed our lives away before we stepped out onto the bridge.....but we made it to the top with our group......and will never forget this experience (Jenesa didn't even break a sweat)!  We're in the back row of this picture below....

Opened in 1932, the Sydney Harbor Bridge is a world-renowned symbol of Australia. The historic tale of construction still fascinates locals and people from all over the world.  Positioned across Sydney’s breathtaking natural harbor, the Bridge has become one of the most photographed features of our beautiful city.
We were not allowed to take any loose items with us on the climb (including cameras).  We suited up in gray/blue jumpsuits and attached fleeces, walkie talkies, and hats to our belts and began the climb. The entire climb we were attached to a harness that we dragged along with us on our journey to the top.

After seeing the Oprah debacle....we expected a tougher climb.  It turned out to be quite easy....and it was over in less than four hours.  It was a great way to spend our 4th of July in Australia!
