A few years ago when we traveled through New England....all we wanted to see was a moose! And, unfortunately, we didn't see one single moose! Not one! So when we planned this trip to Australia....our ultimate goal was to see a kangaroo!
It happened! We saw our first kangaroo on our way to dinner on Phillip Island. We were planning to see the penguins tonight.....and got a bonus when kangaroos started popping up. A lone kangaroo (wallabie) was spotted just over the hill from our restaurant as we were parking the bus. After dinner....on our way to see the parade of penguins....kangaroos were EVERYWHERE! The entire island came alive with wallabies.... and they were hopping all over the place! Very cool!
